Senate Summons Okonjo-Iweala, NNPC GMD, PPPRA Over Fuel Subsidy


Senate on Tuesday summoned the Coordinating Minister of the Economy and Minister of Finance, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, and the Group Managing Director of Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) Mr. Austin Oniwon to appear before it in continuation of the fuel subsidy probe.

Chairman, Senate Joint Committee on Petroleum Resources (Downstream), Appropriation and Finance, Senator Magnus Abe in a statement in Abuja said those invited must appear before the committee on Monday, July 2 and Tuesday, July 3, 2012.

Others invited are the Executive Secretary of the Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Agency (PPPRA), Mr. Reginald Stanley, Managing Director of the Pipelines and Products Marketing Company (PPMC) and at least three former Executive Secretaries of the PPPRA which include Dr. Olusola Oluleye, Mr. Abiodun Inikunle and Engr. Goddy Egbuji.
